Overhaul manual for the rear beam of Peugeot, Citroen — the rear beam arm is repaired the following way:

  1. The mounting place of the needle bearing is bored with the help of the boring machine, for the surface to become smooth. Don't put the lever from the machine until the bush is bored and pressed.
  2. The bush is turned on the lathe; the outer diameter of the bush must correspond to the size of the corresponding place in the arm. The inner diameter is made for the needle bearing with some allowance. Don't forget to make the chamfer on both diameters. The bush can be done of structural steel. No heat processing is done, the bush mast remain plastic when pressed into the arm.
  3. The bush is pressed into the arm, which is still on the boring machine and then the inner hole of the bush is bored as a mounting place for the rear beam arm.

We don't recommend you to bore the inner diameter of the bush beforehand, because it will lessen when pressed. Because of wrap while pressing circular parallelism and coaxiality may lack.
